2024: WordPress Websites I been working on this year

As 2024 draws to a close, I find myself taking a moment to reflect on what has been an incredibly busy year making WordPress websites here in this fine city of Bristol.

Working with local businesses, charities and organisations has not only sharpened my technical skills but has also expanded my knowledge. Each project has brought its own unique challenges and opportunities, and I am moving into 2025 with some renewed aims.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with clients from various sectors, which I really enjoy, each bringing their own vision and challenges – from tech companies, to green innovators to hospitals.

## Standout Projects from 2024

One of my proudest achievements this year was collaborating with Cornwall Community Foundation, a group of philanthropic individuals and businesses with grassroots organisations 
changing people’s lives across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Their new WordPress website brings together lots of organisations into one place to make Events and Funding Grants easier to find.

Also, Firefly Fuels needed a WordPress website. Intheir own words they are:

We are engaged in the fight against climate change. Firefly is committed to decarbonising aviation by transforming a wholly biogenic waste – sewage – into truly sustainable aviation fuel.

They make jet fuel out of, well, let’s put it this way, human waste. Their website now allows them to display their work to the world, all the while securing funding for the next rounds of their development.

Southmead Stories was a website for a hospital here in Bristol. This one-page site allows people to share stories from the fantastic care the hospital has given them and their loved ones.

Throughout these projects, I have had some very good feedback from clients, which is the most rewarding part of the whole process.

Sustainable Promises

I have also kept to all my sustainability pledges this year which include volunteering, charity donations and offsetting. I will be looking for new charities to donate to and volunteer with in the new year, so if you know any, please let me know.

Looking Forward to 2025

As we approach 2025, I’m both looking forward to a break and also keen to get going in the new year. I have a few projects in the pipeline for some great clients, that I can’t wait to share once the are live in the new year.
