Catherine Ade

This website was a custom build for Bristol-based artist Catherine Ade, founder of The Lemonade Press.

Catherine is a lithographer and makes artwork based on everyday observations from the world around her.

The site design is fairly straightforward and put emphasis on the artist’s work by using mainly imagery, particularly on the front page. In order to create the gallery on the home page I used Masonry so that the images can be displayed in a way reminiscent of works hanging in an art gallery.

Alongside displaying works, this site has a WooCommerce store in order to enable sales to be made through the site and payments taken securely.

Feedback

Catherine is very pleased with the website and finds WordPress an intuitive CMS which allows her to update the images, projects and store quickly and easily.

The new design has also driven  an increase in traffic to the website through a focus on SEO. This serves to show her artwork to a larger group of people and also increases the chances of selling work through the WooCommerce store.
